Jessica Hessler, MPH, MSW, CHES® is the Chief Operating Officer and consultant at Elevyst, bringing her background in public health, social work, and human-centered design to project planning and management, instructional design and health education, and digital media design. Her professional experience includes a wide variety of roles, including retail merchandiser and store manager, community affairs liaison in city council, special projects associate for a community foundation, and director of operations for a statewide advocacy nonprofit. In 2020, she launched a community health consulting firm with partners.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Design Studies/Design Management and Art History from the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University and her Master of Public Health in Behavioral and Community Health Sciences and Master of Social Work in Community Organizing and Social Action from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist. Previously, she served as a board member for Alpha House and The Open Door, and formerly chaired the development committee and volunteered for Prevention Point Pittsburgh. Currently, she is part of the Friends of the Library group for the Akron Library Highland Square Branch.
